Sony HKDV-507D HDCAM 3:2 Pulldown Board for HDW-F500 CineAlta VTR The Sony HKDV-507D is an option board for the HDW-F500 CineAlta HDCAM VTR. The board converts both 23.98 and 24 fps footage recorded to tapes and converts it to a 60 Hz signal complete with the proper frame rate for broadcast and post-production applications. The board gives additional reference signal functionality, including both 60 Hz standard definition* and 23.98 Hz high definition signals, which can be transmitted simultaneously out of the deck. Note! *Must be used with the HKDV-501A downconversion board for standard definition reference signals functionality. Dual Reference Signals The board allows the HDW-F500 to directly perform insert edits in a 59.94 Hz environment from a 24 fps tape (23.98 Hz), without having to go through the time consuming 1:1 process of dubbing the tape itself to the compliant cadence frequency. These signals provide a quick and easy way to get into the editing stage directly from the masters themselves, resulting in faster turn around and reduced downtime. In the fast-paced business of high-definition programming, this can make all the difference between meeting and missing critical deadlines. |
